  1. I was curious today what everyone does in their spare time from work / school / EMC / Minecraft and if you guys collected anything as well.

Feel free to share what you guys enjoy also!

For me I collect mainly Sports Cards and Coins (United States Coins) I LOVE to Coin Roll Hunting where you go to the bank and get a "Large" Amount of coins and go through them and look for rare version such as old ones and other rare coins like ones made of Silver! (Yes you can find coins still in circulation made out of silver)

Like I said my other hobby is Sports Cards. I love opening packs from the store and such but also there is an amazing community on YouTube that discusses cards together and does fun competitions and is just awesome! I don't just collect cards but I attempt to run a small business with them as some know  I set up at Flea Markets and soon Card Shows! :D I figured I'd Leave a couple Images of my favorite Coin and Card in my collection!

This Coin is a 35% Silver War Nickel from 1944! You can tell because of the Mint Mark - P is above the Monticello! The P stands for Philadelphia which is where this coin was Minted! You CAN still find these in your change! I found 2 of them in a $100 Box of Nickels (But i was quite lucky)

This one is a 2002 Topps Pristine - Pristine Portions Jersey Card of my favorite player Drew Brees (that is an actual piece of a Game-Worn Jersey that he wore)

If only we could tag players... Guess I'll have to bug Toade to look at this next card I just saw it laying on my desk and figured he'd enjoy seeing it

  2. My address is 5440 Swamp Ln. Utopia, EMC

    Please send card.....and cookies pl0x :)
  3. Working on my truck is my current hobby I guess.

Secondly comes soccer, nothing special about that.

But the one I'm most proud is Scuba Diving, my diving certification is literally a passport to another world. I highly recommend anyone who wants to do it, go do it. Its really something else.
  4. My current thing is rock climbing but i have a MASSIVE collection of cards sport and card game cards
  5. What "spare time" do you speak of? Where can I get some of it?

I enjoy drawing and writing :) I also LOVE programming, and try to learn more outside of the two computer classes I am taking at school :D
  6. Play guitar

I collect money so I can buy more guitar
  7. This is nice i have a 1950 silver dollar minted in pittsburgh worth approxamitly 275$
  8. Well options of doing activities are quite limited due to working full time. I'm here on forums early morning to the evening. At one point I considered to be staff however I am just not active enough in game to be a likely candidate.

Hobbies include is playing games, been into racing, tycoons and simulators. "The Crew 1 & 2", Automation, Mad Max, and Need for Speed are just to name a few which I play. Simulators include Run 8, a real life train driving simulator which puts you in the train conductor and engineers shoes. It's not like Microsoft train simulator, way different. Tycoons like Mashinky and Railway Empire. Similar game idea but different play style. I play Minecraft too but I've been on retirement till I have more interests within the game. Roblox is a alternative I play but again not much.

Most of my time has been going into my car repairs and runs into my off-road activities. A continuous circle of where I can improve my vehicle even in the slightest, to give me a vehicle that I can call that I've worked on and made it my vehicle. True main goal is to cover majority of Colorado's highest mountain passes in a summer. There is a lot and want a bullet proofed Jeep that is capable.

Since this post is getting a little long, I am going to list more. Photography, camping, star gazing, movie critiquing, and soon to be video recording.

I got to head to bed, I am tired and got work tomorrow. Hope you got to know me a little bit better. I might add more when I have time too
  9. Minecraft isn't actually a hobby of mine. :D Posting on forums is, though, so that's why I'm here! ;)
Gaming is also, but mostly only on console, on pc. In fact, I prefer handhelds above home consoles. I made a thread recently showing off most of my Game Boy collection.

Another hobby I actively practise is playing piano. I sometimes play from sheet music, but usually I arrange video game music, by ear. Here's the thread I've had on EMC, including all of my covers: skip a few pages if you want to see the more recent ones. ;)

And from time to time I do composing myself, in two genres mainly: chiptune and minimal music. Here's the thread for that: again, skip some pages for the more recent stuff, or just check out the playlist listed in the OP. :)
  10. The weather plays an important role as to which I’ve adjusted to: For playing games in general when it’s cold, raining, or nighttime. If it’s cool, warm, hot and clear or cloudy, I like to get my motorcycle out for a few. If not I also enjoy creatively building fires, waterfalls, survival shelters and so forth. Little side projects you might say. Often I’ll take to the woods and go collect up some brush for an evening fire as night descends. That’s just a few things on an ever expanding list to give you sort of an idea of how I enjoy my days relaxing. So really it depends what I’m in the mood for or what I have planned for the next day. At a young age I started collecting coins, both U.S. and foreign. Since then I also started collecting old bills. Love the history. I wonder who these pieces of history have met. 😄
  11. I collect some stamps, some cards, and I collect coins as well (pieces of history) - I was recently at Disney and was on the "Its a Small World" ride. Anyhow, there were tons of coins in the water people have been throwing in there since 1970, which granted is only 50 years, but the urge to scoop them up just to look at them was great. (I did not). :D
  12. Of everything I have ever done in my life there are two things that have taken up the majority of my time by far: video games and studying.

When it comes to video games it's usually something competitive, player vs player. Whether a moba, fps or rts/other strategy game. I rather a challenge.

When it comes to studying it is usually physics, law, nutrition/health, humanitarian or engineering related.

What I do with the rest of my time has been a kaleidoscope of endeavors. From fixing helicopters, being a brainless order following soldier, managing businesses, gutting houses, working on an assembly line, bumming on the side of the road, dabbling in elicit activities of which you will get no more detail lol, chasing ladies (thankfully over that), making snide remarks as a "customer service" rep trying to see how far I can push it before i get fired(hint: much further than it takes before I quit that garbage) and getting into fights with people on the street seems to have taken up a bit of my time in the past year. Fite me bruh, do you even lift? *shrugs*
  13. Reading... Defenetly reading... I tend to read a lot of books, most of them litairairy Dutch novels, but I started reading in English some time ago aswell. The probelm with English is that I have grown used to reading "dificult" books, to say it that way, and my English most of the time simpely isn't good enough for that. I have recently read Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go though, I really enjoyed it.
I am a dyslectic and therefore I read quite a lot slower than most people, but that does mean I get to apriciate the book more than other do people too.
I also used to regurairly read scientific works, and I still do when I've got a long time off, but it seems the more time I have spent on universety, the less interested I am in reading stuff other than what I have to read. Don't get me wrong: I love electroquantummechanics, but, at the end of a long day, I've had enough.

Next to that, I play paino aproxemetly one and a half hours a day. It tends to be a little less on weekdays and more in the weekends. I'm currently studying Rachmaninof's prèlude Opus 3 no. 2 in C# minor: The Bells Of Moskow. I've been learning it for about a month, and it will probably take me another month to get it where I want it to be.
Most of the piecies I have learned are, unlike rachmaninof, "experimental" modern classical music, composed in the last 20 or so years. I really enjoy the simplicety of modern music: I can usually sightread the entire piece the first time once I transcribed it, but I still take a few weeks to perfect my playing and make sure everything sounds as good as I can make it.

I also have a small group of friends with whom I play Magic the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons. There is nothing more about it. I have made my own magic deck some time ago, but I just printed the cards, I'm not much of a collector, and, as I tend to play quite casually, I don't do any official tournaments anyway.

Then, for physical activeties, I do mountainbiking. Yes, indeed, mountainbiking. You're not the only one who didn't see that coming. (In real life, most people think I'm joking when I say that...) I'm not really (read: really not) a macho or adraline junky, but I still really like the sport, and I've actually gotten quite good at it over the years.
  14. Is talking to the girl you love a hobby?

I write a lot. Songs and short stories. I've tried to write a novel and lost all motivation.

    I'm always listening to music.

I play guitar sometimes. I'm not very good.

I play video games on occasion.

Mostly I just try to get out of bed and ignore whatever horrible crisis the rest of my family is deciding to have at the current moment.
  15. I do a lot in my free time... usually enough that work is a break from everything else 😉
I'm getting in to aluminum casting, more or less melting cans and casting little trinkets. So far it's a learning process but it's fun.
Of course I hunt and fish. I do wildlife photography and am thinking of sharing some of my pics on here. I love tinkering with my bow or guns.
I have chickens and will probably be getting them involved in chicken shows. Couple of my girls are really pretty and it could be fun.
I have a massive sports card collection, last count it was 50 5" binders full of the 4 major sports (NBA, NFL, MLB & NHL)
I also have a pretty large collection of game used/worn sports memorabilia - shoes, jerseys, gloves, etc...
  16. My hobbies are split primarily between music and gaming. Played guitar since I was 10 so most days I'll pick up the ol' axe for at least an hour or so (some of my own music can be found in the Jukebox thread).

Asides from the usual glued-to my laptop or console gaming I frequent an arcade a half-hour drive from my place. 2 giant floors packed with all-you-can-play retro arcade machines, pinball, modern consoles/PC gaming, VR stations, drinking bars and pizza/burgers/nachos galore. Heaven.

Oh and also a sucker for delving into the mysteries of the Universe and related philosophies. The kinds of questions and thoughts that tend to make my brain melt just a little 😂
  17. Thought I posted on this and I thought wrong....

    Hobbies:
  18. Aah, I want that! Are there DDR and/or ITG machines? I played them once and really enjoyed it, but I haven't found any near enough yet so that I can really get good at the game.
  19. Yeah they have DDR, I'm absolutely terrible at it though haha. I'm going there this evening with my wife and that's the first thing she wants to play

  20. Wow, I saw this late, but there's no red text on the bottom of the thread, so we're all good

Hobbies outside of MC include Geocaching, tennis, making glass art, and anything that has to do with dogs.
