  1. Well, as always, this is a simple thread.
List your favorite place you've traveled to.

    Mine? The U.S. Virgin Islands!

  2. I've been to China a couple times, that was pretty cool. :) I went to help my parents out, because we were bringing home my adopted siblings! The first time was in 5th grade, to get my sister that we had waited 7 years for. The second time was in 7th grade, to get my brother, who has cerebral palsy. Visited Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Nanchang, and a few other places there ;)

My overall favorite place to travel to is Michigan, though. I have a lot of family there, and I love the weather! The lakes, trees, and architecture are also wonderful in the part of Michigan that I usually visit :)

  5. My favorite place in the whole world believe it or not. Is my farm. We own 17 acres with two ponds out in the sticks. It’s peaceful and quiet. I enjoy laying in the hay fields with my horses. I’ve been all over the world and still there’s no better place to me than there.
  6. At the house where born_ego, one of my best friends, grew up. The house itself is very nice, there's a platform over water (there's a beautiful word for this in Dutch, 'vlonder'), there's an amazing dog (and more recently a cat, but he's rarely at home), there's a nice piano, he's got amazing parents, the surroundings are beautiful (although more and more is getting replaced by houses), and I have a lot of memories there.

  8. My family travels an awful lot. We drive to like 5 different places every year (mostly in the summer), but one remarkable trip I made was when I was a junior in high school.
My sister was in college studying abroad in Norway, and we actually went out to visit her for her spring break. We drove through southern Norway, visited some family friends in Finland, spent a few days in Talinn, Estonia, and we had a 10-hour layover in Stockholm Sweden!
It was the very first time I have ever been out of the country and while figuring out how things worked in Scandinavia was a little stressful, It was the greatest time of my life
  9. Cruise to Alaska. My family is usually pretty thrifty with our vacations; trips to Kansas City (just a few hours away), visiting grandparents, etc. But after my sophomore year of high school, my parents found a great group rate for a cruise, and we went with another family or two that we knew. Great times, Alaska is absolutely stunning.
  10. Definitely the Bahamas or Hawaii

  11. Ooo yes, the weather in Michigan is awesomeee! Unless it's winter where I live hehe...
I like it all year round though :p

I definitely agree with you! I went to Alaska a couple of years ago (not a cruise though, I took a plane) and it was absolutely amazing! I would definitely go there again! :D

  12. My favorite vaction must be Hawaii, Oahu. Since I live in Sweden the climate difference is very cool and I love the heat.

I've been there twice and love going up Diamond Head and going to the Makapuu beach with huge waves!

It was also very interesting to visit Pearl Harbor and learn about the history there.

I picked up 1 Ukulele each time I visited and still play on them often!

  13. Berlin, Germany. That city totally stole my heart and I love it.

The first vacation I went to on my own was Berlin, city vacation if you will. I booked a hotel for a week and got myself a "Welkom Karte" (lousy spelling) which gave 3 days unlimited access to public transportation throughout the whole of Berlin. And important to realize: Berlin is huge. U-Bahn (metro / subway), S-Bahn (railway), busses... all-in.

Reichstag, in other words the German Parliament building. Really close to their main train station (which is also huge). Look at that line! This was taken on (I believe) I Monday or Tuesday afternoon and not even in the main vacation season.

I had some really good times here. There's a lot of stuff to see (musea and such), it's really not that expensive (especially in comparison to the Netherlands) and all in all I think it's a really nice place to spend time in.

One moment you're in an extensively rural city environment and the other you're strawling through a park in the middle of no where, peace & quiet (seriously).

Fun fact: I even met some people there who I now consider friends, and some of them I still correspond with today, now 8 years after the facts.

  14. I might be going here sometime in the 2019 summer, depends which most feasible date a concert I want to go to lands on. I really hope it lands on one that takes me to Berlin. ''She'' went to Berlin back in April and ever since I got pictures of the city, I've been mesmerised by it. There's so much history there, the architecture is amazing, and I love big cities anyway so... ugh.

I'd also really love to take a walk around that big glass dome. I could go to the Welsh Parliament in Wales, which is much closer, and get a similar experience, (I've also been in the Westminster Parliament's House of Commons and House of Lords) but nah this one is way cooler and has way more meaning.
  15. I've spent my life in the wilds of Michigan, we got wolves up North mate.
