Looking for songs to learn (piano)

  1. Whello there fellow EMC-ers,

As some of you may or may not know, I play piano (for seven years now). Jet, I have a little bit of a problem, I cannot seem to find more songs I'd like to learn to play...
It might be helpfull to show some of what I have learned... just to show what "level" I am and what kind of music I like to play:

(more dificult parts starts at 1:30 :p )

(and around all other songs by yiruma...)

(and prerry much all songs by Satie...)

If you know any other piano songs and: importently: Its sheet music, please let me know. I am kind of stuck in perfecting what I know instead of learning some new bits and pieces. :)

  3. Can you also learn some (not all too complicated stuff) without sheet music? I have some cool piano melodies that aren't too difficult, but I like, that you might be able to learn? I'll try to find them, but that might take a while, since some of them are scattered all over the place in my hundreds of hours of music. :p

  4. Everything chopin. My favorite is Fantasie Impromptu Op. 66, not as hard as it looks, hella fun to play, and hella impressive.
  5. I see you are in Yiruma's stuff already :) My all times favorite of him is: River flows in you. Which I also attempted to learn (and there are sheets out there on internet) but wasn't patient enough hehe

  6. Yeah... I have tried to do that, but it really ends up being dificult once there are more than one note being played at once. I am currently trying to learn this one, I really really like the music of it, but, just, it gets dificult to hear what notes are played near the end... (there is a piano solo version on spotify)

I'm not too much of a fan of older clasical music. For some reason, the only piecies I like are really string heavy and so are quite dificult to play on piano :p That actually is the main reason I find it dificult to find songs to learn, it would be easy othherwise :p
Also, about impressiveness., I wanted to show of and so: I have leanred the first 50 seconds of this one some time ago, after that it just gets too hard... :p

  7. It is a very useful skill though. ;)
Most sheet music I've played that isn't gospel is from ninsheetmusic.org, which has got fan-made Nintendo arrangements. However, things I could suggest to you would probably be things I'd like to try myself one day, and I'm not sure if I'd want you to beat me to the punch. :p
  8. Actually, not so long after I posted that I thought "you know what, I am just going to try once more, the last time I did was two years ago, when I was only playing piano for two years". So: I tried, I had this album of piano solo's wich I really liked: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SvqBAVdKok and, well, I just started learning the first song. I got to what is 3:30 in that video. I can technically play more, but it sounds awfull, as my hands are bairly fast enough and hurting quite a lot after what has been. So: I started the song after that, rearanged it to make it a lot simpeler, and I now also am able to play that wayy easyer version too, and I am working on expanding it a little (trying to find out what the notes are).
Also, why do you thhink I would beat you to the punsh? You have never heared me play piano...

Oops, I read that late at night and thought "Let's do that next morning, I'm to tiered to listen to music now." and forgot about it.
I kind of like the song, but not really so much. I did look through some othher work of the composer though: there are quite a few songs I like, I might just end up learning a few of them...
