  1. I initially thought Viridian Woods, Discovery Delta, and Titan Gorge would be the best since they have the most city sites (16 each) and are often decently flat, but I've recently been trying Saguaro River Rambling Badlands and had better luck with that, despite having 14 instead of 16 city sites and being split in half with no water or rail connections between the two halves. I'm thinking maybe it's because the maps are still often flat with some decently long coastlines, but a better/more diverse selection. Plus, I tend to grow bored of the temperate/subtropical type maps anyways, and the tropical/rainforest maps don't have that many city sites. So if Saguaro River Rambling Badlands is best, I could enjoy the desert scenery while my cities thrive, make money, and grow.

Any answers are thanked and shall be at least slightly considered.

EDIT: Sorry, but when I said Saguaro River, I meant Rambling Badlands. I wish I could edit in the poll too. My bad.:oops:

  3. I do play Cities:Skylines too.
  4. When you select a region, is the world randomly generated, taking some characteristics in mind, or is it the same every time?

  5. Same every time. Also, most are temperate/subtropical regions, and I didn’t list the regions with 7 or less cities, but there are two desert regions (Rambling Badlands and Desolation), as well as two rainforest/tropical regions (Verdant Jungle and Serenity Key).

  6. Huh, that's interesting! In Simcity 3000, there are scenarios, which have got a fixed terrain, but when you create a new world, it's randomly generated in whatever style you prefer (you can even specify how many trees and how much water, and how much elevation you want). Is that a separate mode in Simcity 2013, or does it only have these fixed worlds?
I suppose I might be able to look it up, but I find it more interesting to hear it from you. :)

  7. Aww, thank you! :)

And you can ONLY do the fixed terrain. You can't even make your own custom maps like you can in Cities:Skylines (which I also play) and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 (which I played and loved back in the day). So, if you want randomized seeds like you get in Minecraft, Banished, and Transport Fever, then you're out of luck.
