How did you found the Empire server?

  1. On December 31, 2014, I started looking for minecraft servers. I made a mistake on the first one (which was a very small server) that I got sent to an in-game jail for, so I tried several more, most of which I didn't log into a second time (although I stuck to one for a small amount of time) because finding what I was interested in (building, survival, friendly and large community) was hard. On the night of January 2, 2015, I found EMC, and while I have taken two moderately long breaks (everyone needs to sometimes), I haven't ever left permanently. I've never been banned that I know of either, not even temp banned, and I've only been muted once (for 5 minutes when I was around 70 days old on here).

  2. I had been destroying a faction server when I got a little bored of it and when it reset decided to look for a survival server for the heck of it. Got on a couple that didn't trip my trigger. Got on this one and was impressed by the builds. Told my buds to check it out and we all moved to this server. Have enjoyed it since.

  3. Lets see... A server I played a heap closed randomly. Went looking for towny servers where I could set up a local business. Found EMC I think through a friend I used to play with. My objective was to be a tycoon of some sort.
This was like Nov 29 2011? Didn't join the forums until April coz I didn't know EMC forums existed till then.

  4. Easy. I had only played me for about a month.. and though I liked it, I found it would be better with some player interaction. Searched top non pop servers and found EMC repeatedly near the top of several voting sites.

    Blind luck.

  5. Found EMC on a server list, nothing too interesting or unique.

  6. I came here thanks to my friend and a member of the EMC community, DuskToDawnDame. Once I had a decent enough computer to run Minecraft well enough, in December of 2015, I let her know I was interested in looking at Multiplayer servers. So the one she introduced me to was Empire Minecraft. And, as you can see, I stayed. I have loved and still continue to love this beautiful server and wonderful community, ever since. :)

  10. I have probably already shared my story somewhere on here before as I recall a similar thread to this existing in the past, but I do not think I went into as much detail as I probably should have (to give EMC its full credit). I love reading these stories by the way, and how some had low expectations and then were very impressed by EMC. ;)

I was... 14? I think? I had just gotten out of a nasty relationship with a friend (who had also been controlling me to the point where I had no other friends), and around this time I had been playing PC Minecraft for a few months. I had had Xbox 360 Minecraft for a while before that but all of my experiences had been in singleplayer. I decided to brave the rumors of terrible people and toxic communities and went searching for a list, excluding PVP because I wanted absolutely no part of that. EMC was third or so on the list I looked at, and I liked what I saw in the banner, so I logged in.

I was a scaredy little Slvr and did not talk to anyone much for a while. But then I met some friends surprisingly easy and apart from everything else EMC has done for me (without getting too sappy because who needs that in here?!), that gave me some confidence again and it was just nice in general to meet new people, while having fun with a game I loved at the same time. No huge mods, no striking changes to the game (looking at you, mcmmo servers), and if you wanted, you could go to the frontier, and avoid having all your work reset over and over again. (I mean, there's town too, but I never stayed there much :p )

  11. I was invited to join by some guy I was friendly with at the time. I wasn't interested in PVP so I stuck around. I can't remember much except that I settled on SMP2 and eventually had residences on 1, 2, 3, 4, and Utopia. It feels like such a long time ago.

  16. At the time I had never been on a Minecraft server before, always played single player and that was it. I don't remember what exactly I searched for or how I got the IP to Empire Minecraft but it was the first server I had ever joined. Still to this day is one of the only servers I ever played on and still play on. The community was just so sweet when helping me get started that I felt I had to stay and give the server a try. Best decision I ever made. <3
