EMC— How long has it been? Honestly, for me it’s been such a long time that I can’t remember the day, month, or even what year it was when I last disconnected from these servers. Since then, I have been traveling the world—namely living in both Italy and Japan. Though I am currently visiting family in the US, I currently reside in Tokyo, Japan and am a bioscience undergraduate student there. Earlier today, I found myself searching for something to do, to fill in my otherwise empty time. Spontaneously, I dusted off the imaginary dust on my Minecraft folder, and logged in. As to why? I have no idea. Perhaps I wanted to reminisce and reconnect with old friends. Maybe I hoped that I would have someone to pull me back into the game? Regardless, I was met with a very friendly welcoming from an old SMP8 resident, and from there on I was able to reconnect with many of my old friends that I used to play with years back. The last time I remember playing Minecraft, slime blocks and sponge were the next big thing. I recall racing across the waste in my buggy boat that seemed to hit land enough to where I started to debate whether it'd be better called a land sled. While I wasn't the first, I was able to find an ocean monument and loot it's plunder con calmo. These are my memories; what are yours? I would love to hear about any experiences/interactions we have had in the past, to further reminisce and assimilate back into the EMC community. What has changed since 1.8? Since we are now in 1.12.2, I will go ahead and assume that the Minecraft that I know and love has changed quite a bit. For the better, I’m sure! For those that don’t know me, I was just another Minecraft fanatic who built a somewhat successful player shop/mall. You’d often see me in Death and Dwight’s mob arena events, and when not there, I would be seen working on my massive six-res abomination made of quartz. If you’ve ever visited the spawn of SMP5, you know what I’m talking about. In collaboration with NZScruffy, I also created a four-res sheep shearing plot commonly known as WoolMart. (https://empireminecraft.com/threads/woolmart-smp5-public-shearing-farm.38830/) Unfortunately, due to one of my alternate accounts not having permanent derelict status at the time I went hiatus, one of the four residences was overwritten due to inactivity. While I’m not the most wealthy player on EMC, some of the notable items that I own would be the A piece of pyramid block, EMC Games Mob Arena Medal, and my Community Defender award. I’m sure I could continue on much longer, but let’s leave that for discussion down below. Feel free to ask me anything about anything! Welcome back! Fun fact: I joined again last week since a couple weeks into 1.9 too! I also found quite some old friends back here, I still am figuring alot of stuff out (new minecraft features, but new EMC features and items too! (and not to forget, what happened to the economy xP)). I hope you'll enjoy here again!
Welcome back! Well, let's just say the opinions differ on that. If you were into PVP a lot you may notice that some "small" things changed Some players like it, others don't. But yeah, nice seeing you again. I remember you. In fact, I still have a small section of my redstone experiment room dedicated to a small funny challenge you had a few years back. Your name is still listed there Hope to run into you sometime, and I hope you're going to have some fun on the server again.
Seems a bit sad on my part but i remember just about missing you online as you had disconnected an hour beforehand almost 2 years back and each time i would log back in to see you hadn't come on since that very moment and days went to weeks, months and then years xd I've lost a lot of interest in Minecraft now but I do come on EMC every so often so its calm
Oh you think Minecraft has changed alot now? Just wait for 1.14 (I think thats the right update), the ocean is getting a complete overhaul! But anyway welcome back to the server! You might notice some... changes in the economy.
Well, for the most part everything that isn't a promo is whole lot cheaper than it was in the passed few years, just poke around the auction and buy/sell forums.
