Thank you, EMC community

Dear EMC,

This wasn't the first server I tried, but it was the first and only I stuck with for more than a few weeks. I am extremely glad I made that decision because the community here is very friendly, and has been for at least the 1,066 days I have been here.

I remember, back in March or April of 2015, when I was becoming friends with BreezyMan, AnimalGirl120, and zBugle. Us four became the seeds for a group of friends that once had a small (but griefer-prone) base in the SMP6 wastelands, and in June 2015, that group of friends led to the creation of the Minecraft Paradise Outpost (MPO). The MPO now has 43 members (4 of which are currently EMC staff members), 10 claims (since September 2016, counting the original one), and has come along very far with its buildings, roadways, etc. It's much more than I originally thought I would ever create anywhere in Minecraft, and now I believe it will continue to get a lot bigger. So, thanks to anyone who has ever joined the MPO and/or inspired any of my builds there.

I am also very proud of EMC's staff team. The staff, just like most of the players, appear to be very friendly and open-minded, which is probably because of our administration being led by friendly people (Aikar and Krysyy). All of the Senior Staff and many of the Moderators are just as friendly as the admins, and in fact, some of them have even been in-game friends of mine both before and after becoming staff.

EMC has been truly inspirational for me too, and helped me learn some things. Numerous famous players on EMC such as finch_rocks_1, Eviltoade, JohnKid, and too many others to list or remember at the same time have been very friendly people to talk to, and the former two have inspired some of my builds. Finch even helped me learn about what it means to be transgender via certain threads that she created, and while some people have bullied her for it, I have shown my support, and in some cases, even publicly stood up for minorities.

I wish I could thank each and every one of you individually, but that would probably take multiple weeks or months to do, and I'm sure that some of you will be reading this thread soon enough. EMC will very likely continue to be where I spend a large portion of my free time in my future, and as someone who will have been on here for 3 years the day after New Year's, it's mind-blowing that I found this.

Thank you for everything. (I realize I should have made this thread on Thanksgiving, but I don't have a perfect memory because I'm human, just like all of you reading this.) ;-;

EDIT: Just to clear up after a PM I got from someone, I'm not trans. I just meant about finch being trans and that it helped me to learn what it means. However, I am still a part of the LGBT community, as I am a homosexual.

I'm so happy you joined. Without you, I would have never met all of the people in the outpost and I wouldn't even have been in an outpost. You're always so kind and such a great leader! I hope you'll be here for much longer!

Since I started playing on EMC a little over 2 years ago, We3_MPO was a name that I was always used to seeing on the forums and in-game. I have not talked with you much, but I know you from your forum posts.

Thank you for being one of EMC's amazing players, and for committing so much time and energy to the server. EMC wouldn't be the same without you, and players like you.

You are part of what makes EMC great. We have talked a good amount over the years and I truly cherish our friendship - so thank you! <3
