So I tried to make a solid block item elevator. The kind where a dropper goes into a 3x3 column of blocks. The output was sporadic at best. I think this is due to how EMC clusters dropped items to reduce lag. Has anyone had success with this type of elevator on EMC? I usually use a dropper tower connected to a special clock on the torch tower. It works well & wont clog or break if it gets backed up. I was just trying to do something different this time. Suggestions appreciated.
Yes, definitely. I have one of this kind, and so far, it's moved more than 3.75 million items. If you want, I can come look at yours in a bit, to see what's going wrong?
I have already dissassembled mine, but I could put it back relatively quickly. It is not very tall. I was hoping to use the design so you could see items flowing through a glass window an they went. I'll try to PM you next time we are both in-game to see if you have time.
Do you want to see my elevators? There is no lag, and very min Redstone. I use them on all the builds lol.
Do they have to be made of all one material? I was using a combination of glass & stained clay. Pretty basic redstone on mine. Hopper into a dropper. Other side a comparator in subtract mode a repeater into a block. On either side of the block, redstone dust going back in the direction of the dropper. 3 pieces on one side, 2 and a repeater on the other. Repeater goes into a block beside dropper to power dropper.
