  3. The only thing I can think of that is a tool and can be used as a musical instrument is a saw.
  4. Almost all musical instruments could be considered tools :p Guitars are tools designed to emit sounds from the strings, drums are tools designed to make sound on contact, etc.

  7. No, it is not drums.

This is the last valid question, even though the rest of you missed it as well.

    It IS however a...

Which means the first round goes to me. Better luck next time EMC. I have something to help your soothe the defeat though.

  8. Meh. I lost interest when you said it wasn't used with food.

    (j/k, nice job)
  9. I was seriously thinking it was a violin!!! But for some reason made myself confused about it being made entirely out of wood, with no metal pieces >_<
I forgot that modern violins use steel strings. Lol a better alternative then sheep's gut :p

  10. I object, your honor. That's a violin and bow you've been referring to as "it" and you move the bow over "it"s strings while "it" remains (mostly) stationary. The tool definition was a play on semantics too. We need a rematch. (Removes gloves and slaps Gawadrolt) Ahh demand satisfaction sirrah!

Actually, I've looked for opportunities to throw people off when I've played this game before, which is part of the fun. Thanks for the game, Gawadrolt.
  11. Ha, that was cool! We lost some questions on not too useful stuff, but we had some quite good questions, too! And in the end, we actually got pretty close!

  12. Bummer. Good job.

  13. I cry foul! This is precisely how the bow is held, and quite often the neck (while playing).

  14. Do you play the violin?
  15. You use your whole hand to hold the bow. The crook between the index and thumb to hold the neck and your shoulder and chin to hold the body. That's not exactly "just" the thumb and finger. Your foul is noted and overruled and yes I play the violin.

  17. How can a violin be Really big? Perhaps really big would be like a sofa size, maybe a chello, or a contrabass, still don't get it...
  18. He was trying to help us by suggesting questions to ask. He wasn't saying it was big in that post. He was saying we could ask a question that helps us know its size.
