        It’s times like this I’m glad I inherited my dad’s Spanish + Portuguese skin tone. I just get darker while the rest of my family goes red just because we went for a walk and the schadenfreude feels amazing

        We did! Just general chit-chat, no difficult topics. :P Well, not that we avoided difficult topics, but there seemed no reason to talk about our deepest personal struggles or things like that. :P It was just nice to see each other again, and to see _someone_ other than family again (although Lanata has been meeting up with her best friend Marie now and then).

      I've been having long nosebleeds at night... the worst thing about it is that I turn the light on so I can see my handkerchief, and when it's over I've seen so much light that I've lost my ability to sleep. :/ Took me over two hours before I fell asleep again, last night.

        Wasn't expecting so many comments on this. :P To be fair, the VHS player was actually in working order already; I thought it was broken but that was the DVD player. :P I just had to connect the VHS player to our new tv (the last time we used it we still had a CRT), which was a challenge by itself, because of the tangle of cords behind our tv cabinet. :P

        Search algorithms, mostly. Which is the third or fourth time we've had a course (partly) on that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There's also no documents saying when the exams will be, the exercises are confusing, and my TA is bad. Oh, and after 5 lectures we are already a full lecture behind, and yet the teacher is planning to spend half of the next class to do a trial exam.

        The trial exam was quite disappointing, and the Q&A following it is bad also... I'm losing motivation to even study for the actual exam come Tuesday. :(

      I tried to reinstall Windows 10 on my laptop, wiping all files on it, and succeeded with great effort. However, it didn't fix anything, it's still broken. In happier news, I saw Ralph Breaks the Internet, and I love it. :D

        Try disabling fast startup. That "feature" is known to cause all sorts of weird things to happen. With my laptop, leaving it enabled causes the laptop to instantly turn back on after it shuts down.

        It would also cause my old desktop to BSOD randomly. Disabling it fixed both those issues.

      My laptop doesn't work well anymore. :( I think I'll just reinstall it, I hope that fixes it. I don't fancy trying out dozens of tips that likely won't work.
