Can't log into minecraft :(

When I log into minecraft, it asks me whether i want to update or not. When i try to update it freezes up in the middle of it and when i click "not" it gets frozen when it says done loading. How do I fix this so it goes to the "Mojang" screen and I can then connect to the servers? o: Please help

Someone please help me! I can't log in at all. When i run minecraft, it asks me "would u like to update?" I click "no" and it says "done loading" but freezes with the green bar loading and it doesn't unfreeze at all. It then crashes or just stays like that for hours. PLEASE someone reply

Do you have any mods installed to your client?

No mods or anything. not even texture packs

What type of pc and have you been able to play on multiplayer before?

Click options and click Force Update

I already tried forcing update. I've tried denying the update. I've tried clicking YES to the update. I redownloaded minecraft and did it but it still froze at the same stupid place. When i click for it to update, it freezes at the 48% mark and when i deny the update it freezes when it says "done loading". I think i have a windows vista and I've been able to play on multiplayer for about a year.

Turn your Anti-virus and firewall off. It sticks because of that.

I'm afraid that if this doesn't get fixed soon my plot will get erased for being absent for 10 days. I worked super hard on my plot on smp2 and I don't want it to go poof.

LOL I did that and it now is freezing at 1% it says "retrieving: lwjgl.jar 1%" -face palm-

Did you try to remove the .minecraft folder in %appdata% ?
If not press [Windows Key]+[R] and type %appdata% In there remove the whole .minecraft folder. Then try to reinstall by downloading the client again from the website.

When ever I do this, it gets stuck at a new spot. Now its back at 56%. I took out the .minecraft folder and reinstalled it, but now its just frozen in a new place. I feel like I'll never be able to play minecraft again ._.

Did you try to just let it freeze at 56% and go afk for a while?

Yes... It was frozen at that spot for about an hour before. It did absolutely nothing.

If I can't get into minecraft and my plot gets reset, I will leave EMC and minecraft forever. I put way too much effort and work into my plot for me to start over. If no one can help me, then good bye . Why can't a moderator or someone help me. I've had this problem ever since the reboot on the server yesturday.

I worked very hard on my plot 3959. I really want to be able to get ONTO minecraft and be able to connect into EMC before it gets reset. No one seems to know how to fix the problem and I'm scared because I worked really hard. If someone has a definite answer on how to fix it or maybe a new idea, PLEASE don't hesitate to reply.

So you say you were on yesterday, your plot doesn't ever get reset in 1 day. After 10 days your plot is in the state to be able to be reset. But they don't insta reset it. Also with going AFK I mean for 10 minutes

It looks like you were on Minecraft 18 hours ago. If you can't get your Minecraft fixed in a few days, contact GameKribJEREMY and ask him if he can pause the derelict policy for your lot.

Ok Thank you , but that doesn't fix me not being able to get onto my minecraft. I hate being annoying, but this is super important to me.

What version of Minecraft do you currently have? Also, try closing everything that is running except minecraft (if you haven't already.)
