[Forum Addition] Warning when posting in specific Topics

  1. While looking at the most recent threads I saw a mod request for a mod which added items and changed game mechanics and I had an idea. I think that it would be beneficial that when creating certain forum posts warnings should put so the player doesn't post nonsense posts. Ex:
Auctions: "Are you sure this Auction meets the requirements of an EMC Forums auction: http://empireminecraft.com/threads/welcome-to-emc-auctions-rules-read-this-first.9650/ " Mod Requests: "Does this mod do anything stated below: Add items to the game, change game mechanics or give you an unfair advantage as a player?"
    mba2012 and cddm95ace like this.
  2. Or people could just read the rules in the first place......
    Just saying.........
  3. Lets be realistic here...
  4. I think this is a great idea. As great as it would be if people read the rules, it is quite clear that this does not happen. This seems like something easy to implement that would prevent a lot of threads that have to be shut down.
  5. Really though. The fact people not reading the rules, has become a source of mockery and a joke? We shouldn't be allowing people to continue to not read the rules by giving them "warnings" this will only further the issue. People need to be scolded or reprimanded for not reading the rules. Not get a warning that tells them they should double check it, because it might be breaking the rules they have not read.

People should get reprimanded for this stuff, and we as part of the EMC community, need to help the "new guys" not make these posts, so that these people can get reprimanded, go read the rules, and hopefully think before they make a post in the wrong place or something like that.

If anything we should be telling people to read the rules more in the first place.

(It would be easy to add though. I guess it just annoys me people don't read the rules in the first place....)
  6. I quite like this idea. And I don't think it would be very hard to do.
