Packet loss / Server hoster problem?

Got nearly unplayable lag (packet loss) to any smp/utopia, but not to website.
Losing connection every 1-4 minutes. Unplayable

Could it be the server hoster drops packets?
May be he prioritizes other protocols and is over capacity?

It's not the first time this happens.
Had this 4-5 times already. Therefore i know it will get better in a few hours.
But may be this is something to investigate with the hoster?

Any other players experience lag (packet loss)?

I think the server is getting DDOS'ed.

It is very possible this is caused by the network connection somewhere between your PC and our network at the datacenter. I tried from two locations and had no problems, but I will continue to monitor. Next time if you could do a traceroute that should provide more helpful information for me to go off of (it should show where packets are being dropped). The reason you don't have a problem with the website is it is in a different datacenter altogether.

I've had problems on SMP5 specifically, if that's any help. Bigdavie has too.

i cant stay on utopia longer then like 20 sec
and smp1 1 minute or so

Random (I believe), wipple, myself, and Davie are all from Europe. Maybe this is part of the problem?

well im from europe to

Not sure, I'm on the East Coast of the US and I'm having rubberbanding lag. If I try to walk out of my house, I end up doing it about 3 times before I finally get out, also I just had stuff rubberband on me when I was moving it out of one chest and into another. (It would leave my inventory but come back) chests and chest opening lag.

I'm also losing connection every 3 minutes. It only started happening 2 days ago.

I live in the North East part of the US.

I am getting lag like pandas is.

I'm in Europe too and I'm having lag.

Thanks I have forwarded the traceroutes to our datacenters support so they can look into it. From what the reports I have gotten it does seem geographically isolated of non US.
