  5. The thread is kinda vague. Can you explain...
    • Res for sale? Aren't the plots resetted when you unclaim them?
    • Is the pixel art gonna be on a map (wild) or on your residence?
    • Why choose a color? Isn't the colors used dependent on what you'll build?
    • Phrase on the map? Item as main idea? smp8 lifestyle? What does it all mean?
    • No res for sale
    • On a map in the wild
    • I want a color, I want it to be creative.
    • Live on smp8 for once, they'll know what I mean since it is fish, the fish is named "You Are My Wife Now" and smp8 has a crazy lifestyle. Don't you even DARE question smp8 and its glories!
  6. smp8, you worry me. :p
  7. Okay...
I'm making pixel art at smp5 right now. A couple tips:
    • Even though different items have different colors or shades of a color, many items share the same color in a map (birch and sand, white wool and snow, all stones, etc). Try making a color palette in a creative world beforehand so you don't get unexpected results.
    • Because of that, colored images with many shades are hard to make. The best way to go with complex images is making them in shades of grey.
    • If you want to reproduce an image you have but the size is wrong (should be exactly 128 pixels), re size it with photoshop or powerpoint (in powerpoint 3,39cm equals 128 pixels). DO NOT USE MS PAINT, IT WILL RUIN THE PICTURE!
    • Once you have a 128x128 picture, copy it to paint (check the dimensions) and then save it with a lower resolution (for pictures in shades of grey try 16 color bitmap). That's the picture you'll recreate pixel by pixel.
