During those days we will ask various members of that specific server the following questions: On a scale of 1-10 how do you rate (SMP)'s economy? Do you feel that (SMP) needs more shops/malls? What items do you always needs but can never find at a shop? I would say SMP8 has the best economy. Over 99.99% SMP8's malls are stocked. Also SMP8 sells all items even unique EMC Items! SMP8 sells quantities of DC's. I would say SMP8 would need some more unique shops not general shops that sell a lot of items but are not always stocked. SMP8 needs shops that only sell one or more items but not a lot. So they would be mostly always stocked.
Smp5 has better economy we have the big stores running the show {/v 11372, /v wassatthen, /v xDiamondDiggerx} Whilst we have the independent shops {banners and restaurants} getting a look in at smp5's money. AND shavingfoam is NEVER {dont quote me on this} out of stock
As an SMP1 citizen since day one, I have to say SMP8's economy has been stronger lately, even though SMP1 has had the superior economy for a long time, IMO. Although, since fairshop went derelict, I am not 100% sure.

Yes, a large number of 'shops' have nothing there, so there really needs to be more legitimate shops. The ones that are shops though are for the most part quite good. What items do you always needs but can never find at a shop? Vines, and Jungle Saplings, seem to be a thing that most the shops actually do sell but are always out of stock. Also, books/bookcases, are hard to find, and when I do find them, are also out of stock.
I play mostly on SMP 9 Rate economy a 7 Yes, could use more large shops Always hard to find Villager Eggs
SMP8 is my home and main server. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate SMP8 an 8 because it has a well-managed economy. SMP8 needs more well-known shops and malls; it seems as though the capital is only coming from only a few sources and not many sources. I usually don't purchase items at stores because I can get the items I need myself.
As much as I love SMP3, I am not going to praise it, but just state how I really feel. Economy Rating: Most likely a 5/10. There are not a ton of shops, we need a lot more. Since there a very few shops, it is hard to find most items here. The shops of the "glory days" have gon inactive for the most part, or a rarely maintained.
FS's stock was gradually depleting, however, and Sgt_Pepper4 has kind of replaced him. Not as many items are sold and they're more expensive, but it is doing quite well.
I will do two servers since right now I live in both. Smp6 [Rate 7/10] Economy largly based on pvp items. Manicminer & silkenthread holds mostly stocked bulk malls, but haven't seen many other shops as large as those two. I can't find cheaper enchantment books! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Smp7 [Rate 4/10] Server has 1 mall but it is empty. I gave a +3 due to the fact players are will to help you with projects providing materials. Azondria does hold a bulk shop but it is limited to mining and wood items. Needs more bulk shops and malls!
Yeah, if I had to venture to guess which smp had the strongest and most active economy smp8 would probably rank 3rd on my list not first. Smp1 since I have joined has always had the most economic activity and stocked malls, let alone malls period. Smp6 has the only mall I have even used since azoundria lost his mall, so from my perspective that would take second spot over smp8. The arena being there really helps with traffic to smp6 so having a mall there is a no-brainer over many other smps. I didn't like FS and there are other shops on smp8 that are big name that are annoying to use because the res is so laggy. I have only found one of the many malls on smp1 like that. Smp6's owner of the mall I use most redid his mall thankfully. I say thankfully because it was super laggy like that too. Manic miners mall. Overall if I were to rate smp7's economy I would say 4/10 if you have a specialty shop or want to start a mall there should be a large customer base for you to pick up as we have many school age kids that are always bringing their friends in and at primetime smp7 is rarely not full. I play on smp7. We have very little economic activity and since Budha lost his computer jesuspower2 has moved back in to fill the void again. This is good news for smp7 because we have a "mall" even in Budhas absence and jmall went out of business before Budha left. ST also has a mall on smp7 that is well stocked but seemingly lesser known which seems odd to me. There are a small number of specialty shops but definitely room for improvement and we just recieved a really cool public utility build in town from Doc.(I think that's who built it, sometimes I get him and dubchef mixed up)
Using a google form would really help collect consistent data and you could then filter and summarize

What items do you always needs but can never find at a shop?: Nothing as I don't use malls frequently, nor do I have consistent item needs.
Azoundria has already done some data collecting and has the know how to get the information organized although sometimes he can be "one-tracked" and miss the big picture. If you all could get jesuspower2 and azoundria together with you and cory you could probably make a pretty accurate economic assessment tool. Azoundria helping to make it easier and progressive instead of a one time, laborious data collection. Jesuspower2 with his already established economic knowledge of the server and constant market observation. From this thread already it seems like a lot of the information you are going to get is going to be skewed by people being unaware of shops malls, even on their main smp and bias.
Only big shop I know of on smp 7 is budhas and the only one I use but eventually silence he hasn't been on it is not restocked well but I think someone is still restocking it but not him we need more big shops
To be honest, even though smp8 is one of my main servers, there is not much malls compared to other servers and smp8's malls don't sell unique items.
