I haven't tried the trill thing yet but how is windows 10 so far? I own the full version of windows 8 so I will be getting a free upgrade to it when it comes out, can't wait to see all the new features.

There will also be support for running Android apps in Windows 10 and you can install desktop apps from the store. Those two things will solve a lot of problems with Windows 8.

With the IOS apps, developers will have to recompile it. Android apk files will install as is. Both of them though show that Windows 10 will likely have some huge developer support which is something Windows 8 metro apps lacked.

Yeah I read about the apps and now I am having a tough time deciding if I want to get a windows 10 phone when they come out.

Even for desktops that is still really cool. There are plenty of mobile apps that can still be relevant on a desktop especially since you can run a bunch of them in windows.

A bit of a broad scope you have there "Windows and stuff" :P
You can test out the features in Windows 10 right now if you want using the technical preview. I imagine they will work pretty well and will accomplish the goal of getting more apps in the store.
