I was about to ask the same thing, are the news exagerrating?

They do that alot...
But ofcourse it is still awful...
In the earthquakes a foregn newspaper claimed my whole city was gone...

You guys are lucky - I have never had a natural disaster happen to me :( We get floodings in England, but those are due to the rivers/canals overflowing.

They are not fun, you can't do a thing. And a window blew out from the 50th floor of a building.

And when they say you will have to be in the car ready to evacuate from a Bushfire it is scary
