It's all about maturity and attitude. Some people already know it and others have to learn it. Though I have no idea who you are referring to so if you have a problem, please pm me.
Bbecause of age and "maturity" even though new players are joining okder players continue to leave and some just feel tossed aside and like thier opinions don't matter or the way sone stuff is handeled makes them scared to say anything that the higher ups will get mad at them about
I do not have a problem, it's just the way I would've done it :) I guess that's what my very own EMC profile page is for.
I am simply stating the way I think staff recruitment should be done. The people I refer to as "200 days on EMC and no experience" have all shown up as great mods so your way of recruiting apperently works perfect.
I just think people like Olaf_C who are very eager to become a mod and spend a lot of their time doing their very best should be given a chance to shine even though they may have screwed up in the past. The people with 200 days are being recruited because they have no dramas/previous reports - In general very clean and nice looking histories.
People such as Olaf_C has been on EMC for so long that they've created their own little world, and of course that sometimes gives less amazing episodes, but VERY often gives amazing experiences.
Unless things have changed, the last I spoke to Olaf_C he had no desire to be a mod. Whether or not he would be a good candidate, I doubt he's applied with the most recent application.
Thank you faith, but I currently don't want the position. The fact that I was so eager was a bad sign, I am immature, and my past actions have been more negative than positive. I did apply several months ago, but I changed my position since then. Nick and hash recently got staff, and are respected vets who have put a lot into the community.
I am not a role model and not right for the job, and I've accepted that. EMC is doing a heck of a lot better picking staff now, and while not every staff I love, they are all fine people.
I haven't kept myself up to date recently with Olaf's situation but I remember him once wanting to be a mod to help out more and while he wanted to do that there was like 4-5 mods who were inactive for 180-250 days since online.
Since then moderators are being kept fresh and up to date by Krysyy.
