Google isn't the one deciding what ads to show you exactly... Advertisers are given control on WHO to target. We can choose to run ads on specific websites, or choose to run ads based on a users demographics (location, age, gender, etc). The dating sites are targeting you because you are male, young, in that region, and a gamer, so they figure you are interested in dating sites. It's location based targetting due to where you live. I just did a search for all ads mentioning minecraft a few days ago and blocked them. I always block them as I see them.
the first time I had jimmy johns was when I was visiting my boyfriend (Monster_) In Michigan. ITS SERIOUSLY SO GOOD. Its good, cheap, and fast and so so so good. lol. We don't have them in the north eastern states. Almost everyday I was there and we had lunch together we'd have jimmy johns... Its good ;-; i miss it
Empire is likely that game targeting any website with the word empire in it, expecting to hit other games based on empires. Basically, you target words similar to yours so that it ends up on your competitors sites. Ok that is an awesome ad. Ads also use the pages content, were you looking at a help thread? (now I see the Zendesk ad too)
I'm not running those type of banner ads =P And I have our site on the block list haha, as we did have an ad show up on our own site in the past lol.
Not that I'm aware of. I just remember looking in Misc. for this thread, unless it's because I asked Alex for help on my signature in a PM, which would be creepy that it's targeting them lol.
