  1. Could use some help taming if anyone wants to get on
  2. Found someone's arrgy level 118 named Merica

Didnt want it to die so I took it to my base
Let me know if it yours
  3. That is Moose's bird, I'll come by and move it back to his base.
  4. I took Woodley, BoBo and Pluto to main base to work on a bit. I was told everyone has quit because no one works together anymore. So I want to dedicate some time to main base to get people back on... Everyone has split apart on this server making their own base, I want to change that. I'm also taking BigBird for a little (Bird will be taken back, Dino's will stay for a short time). I'm using Big Bird for transport. Thanks!

(All Dino's will be back by the end of this week or earlier)
  5. My pteredon disappeared his name is perry and I lost him around 50 long 80 Lat
If anyone find him please bring him to the emc base
    Thanks!
  6. Found him
  7. So.. the thanksgiving update involves turkeys, and they are even worse than the ones on EMC (as in unkillable). You cant 'just quickly kill' them, my brother found a lvl 72 one and attacked it with all his dinos, two of them died.

so before attacking one, make sure you are prepared :p

  8. They take reduced damage from dinos. Best to kill it yourself.

  9. We finally tamed the beast and ChickenDice took it out (got killed twice we it took fall damage and raged). It one hit killed Paraceratherium but it took 2 hits to kill a lvl 60 turkey meaning it must have had at least 2,500 hp.
  10. Not to mention the two server updates that happened while we were taming it. Its insane it didn't wake up either time. It took well over 600 narc arrows and taming it used about 450 Prime.
  11. Unfortunately, the giganto died. I was taking him for a joy ride in the arctic tundra when he fell into the water. After he fell into the water, he wasn't able to get back up onto the shore (wouldn't allow him. I'm sure this wasn't intended as I tried a versatile range of attempts to get him out over the span of 5 minutes) and eventually drowned. It sucks we were only able to have him for 2 days but that's just how the game works.

Also to anyone ever looking to tame a giganto, it is not a one (or two) person job and you'll likely need a ton of supplies. It took us roughly 400 tranq arrows to knock him out, 2500 narcotics to keep him unconscious, and atleast 50 prime meats. Not to mention you have to watch him like a hawk because his torpor drops 300 per second. If anyone does end up taming one, I suggest putting a part from your other dinos (a pretty good distance) to prevent deaths if he happens to rage.

  12. I have created an industrial forge at the Volcano and re-arranged things. That thing was expensive (2,500 metal, 400 polymer, 600 cementing paste, etc. All are welcome to use it. Big Davie, I apologize but I had to destroy your locked chest to make room for it. I created a new one with your name on the box and put your stuff in it. JMB, I had to destroy your billboard also, Sorry. I also destroyed the locked chests and recreated the unlocked chests With the industrial forge it is easy to get metal, I thought we could just share the boxes. If you take metal ingots, just leave some metal in the forge. The industrial forge runs on gas. 1 gas can runs for 15 minutes and creates 660 metal ingots. I have put a bunch of gas there. Make sure there is gas in the generator. The frig is for berries for the anklos. With 1 Anklo and a hawk, in about 10 minutes, I filled the forge with about 2,300 metal.
    Enjoy!

  13. Sadly, in a recent update, dire wolfs have received a huge damage buff (as they totally weren't OP already). I was going out on my bird (Vein level 141), I landed and 8 hits from a dire wolf killed my bird. My bird's health was just below 1,500 and I was too late before I could call neutral. Just a note when collecting materials in the snow biome.
  14. What level was the direwolf?
  15. That really stinks :(
I was finally at that stage I could survive at the tundra, well, not anymore probably then :p

  16. Note to anyone playing on Ubuntu w/ Nvidia
I updated my graphics drivers to 358 which includes major OpenGL improvements.

    Let's just say, it's amazing.

I went from around 10~ FPS in ARK with super buggy graphics, to 30 FPS and everything looking normal.

Install PPA from here: https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/ archive/ubuntu/ppa
Additionally, this update fixed Power Save mode on my monitors!

Before, only the first monitor would enter power save mode, and simply blacked the screens on the others. Now they all enter power save mode.

    Strongly recommended.
  17. I heard it's super buggy?
  18. That stinks JMB. Vein has been around a long time. I typically only go to the Tundra with a high level hawk and before I land, I fly around and kill all hostiles (wolfs, sabers, and T-Rexs) because I have been ambushed before. I also always set the hawk on neutral before leaving. You are welcome to Michael Angelo if you want him. He is not a high level.
P.S. I made you a Ghille suit, it is in the vault under armor.

  19. Where/what did you hear? I think I read something on the first builds (but could be mistaken) but theres been many revisions to 358.

According to this, it seems like its Windows people complaining. The Windows and Linux Kernel code parts are going to be near 100% different.... so I wouldn't expect a bug in the Windows kernel code to apply to Linux.
  20. Does it have steam workshop mods for it?
